Since most of the Committeemen are Protestants, the Catholic Church sees them as "eradicators of the true faith". However, with Rome(and the Pope)located in a Europe dominated by Napolean(who has his own ideas about curtailing Catholic power) there is little the Catholics in the territories can do but protest. In so doing, we have been struck by a calamity so great, as to be almost unforeseen and, until now unimaginable. The U.S. Supreme Court made clear in Ex Parte Milligan, following the Civil War, that "the government, within the Constitution, has all the powers granted to it which are necessary to preserve its existence." Therefore, it is my sad, but necessary duty to inform you all that, until such times as this nation is deemed to be in recovery. All members of the Federal Houses of Congress and Representative residing within Denver Federal District will be summoned for arrest. The millitary is placed directly under my control. I call upon all honest, true and decent Americans to stand here now, alongside me and decide. We fight for reconstruction, freedom and the American way. Or we fight for destruction. Destruction that will lead not only to the eradication of the way of life that has been strived for by our founding fathers, but also a destruction that will end all life on this great and wonderful planet. The duties before us all are immense, we must secure the future for our children and their children and heirs. I feel the hand of God is with us all and that He will guide us through the weeks, months and years to come. Drop down your weapons and pick up your tools. Rebuild this great country. Drop down your weapons and pick up your tools and fight for freedom. Drop down your weapons and pick up your tools and help your fellow man. God bless you all, God bless the United States and may the great and merciful God in his wisdom bless his created planet and those who have stricken it.' | 1916 | 900 Add An Event | Admiral Tirpitz seeing an advantage with three enemy battlecruisers lost, turns his main fleet 10 poits to starboard to receive the main british battlefleet when it appears and "cross its "T"".
As the two fleets now sight one another and converge, Jellicoe is at a disadvantage with his bent line to receive the enemy, as were the Russians at Tsushima, with the ships behind obscured by those in the straightened van. Meanwhile, Tirpitz, like admiral Fuso is in a position to "cross the T" with his main battleline. The German battlecruiser squadron (each had four submerged tubes on one side ), supported by light cruisers and destroyer flotillas using their torpedo tubes, are ordered to make a torpedo attack on the rear part of the British battle-line. The rear of the British battle-line turns north-west to "comb the torpedoes" by turning away, whilst the German battleline concentrates on Jellicoe's van, using Nelson's tactics of attacking and concentrating on part of the enemy line, as Tirpitz "crosses the T". Jellicoe turns his line to starboard and south, in the text-book manouevre to counter the T being crossed. It forces the other fleet to reverse, all running up passing through the same point on the turn,on which you concentrate your fire. ( The Russian commander did this at Tsushima, but for some reason the Russian battleships were unable to concentrate thheir fire on the point of turn). But Tirpitz performs a "battle-turnaway", the ships reversing their courses, behind a destroyer smoke-screen, the ships emerging parrallel to Jellicoe, and the battleships using their submerged torpedo tubes (they all had them in 1916 like on a submarine). Jellicoe turns away, partly to regroup with the rest of his line going off in the other direction and partly to "comb the topedoes". Having been able to make some sort of regrouping he turns back again eastwards on a more northerly course to try to "Cross the T" of the rear of the german line (which you could also do). Again Tirpitz performs a second "Battle-Turnaway" and crosses his T againn. Jellicoe turns back and the fleets disengage. After dark -it is now late - Tirtitz makes a night attack on the British rear, for which the British for some reason were not trained, also using his destroyers and cruisers for a topedo attack. By this time several of the older and lighter British battleships have suffered the same fate as their battlecruisers and blown up. Dawn sees Jellicoe in possession of the battlefield with the undamaged part of the fleet, in the spirit of Nelson and Hawke, believing the Germans have gone back to port, whilst the damaged British ships have been ordered to limp home by Jellicoe. The German battleline reappears and prepares to engage. Jellicoe oders retirement for home by divisions (squadrons, each squadron sailing abreast of the others), but to his amazement Tirpitz hoists "General Chase" and continues to pursue. The undamaged part of the fleet is forced to take shelter in the mouth of the Humber. Tirpitz have chased them there soon retires because of the danger of mines and submarines. Meanwhile he has a flotilla of destroyers with mines on their minerails mine them in. Damaged stranglers which were going home are picked off. Tirpitz returns to Wilhelmshaven and Kiel to receive his victory. Discuss This Timeline (0 Entries So Far) | Previous Event Next Event | |

| 2008 | 1813 Add An Event | After 18 months of negotiations, the FA "Charter' is unveiled to the world public. It's first article states that 'War' in 'ANY' form is
forever 'Banned'. The second article states that a new era of 'Space Exploration' is to be the goal of the combined nations of the world.
The following sixteen months will see explosive growth in all areas of the physical sciences, with the culmination coming on December 21, 2009 when the first 'Warp Drive' capable starship is successfully tested. The craft, aptly named "Enterprise' reaches speeds in excess of 300 times the speed of light. The media names this event 'The Best Christmas Ever'. The world goes nuts as "Star Trek' becomes a reality right before their eyes. The first order of business is solar resource development to relieve population pressures on the Homeworld. To this end, a fleet of transport, minning and exploration vessels are constructed, manned with combined World Naval & Airforce personnel in what is, tongue-in-cheek, called 'Starfleet'. Within six months of the first reports of habitable extra solar planets being brought back, construction is started on what are called 'Colony Globes' and the first ten are slated for completion within one year. The only rule emposed on 'colonists', is that they must be true volunteers. There would be no population dumping allowed. Within 5 years the 'Federation of Planets' composed of 15 planets in a 300 Lightyear sphere, are the most prosperous Human enity to have ever exsisted. One event did send shock waves through the 'Federation', as on November 3, 2019, the "Lewis & Clark', while exploring some 600 lighyears from Earth, detected a strange 'Warp Signature' and upon investigating, were met in space by the first 'Alien' contact. These turned out to be the L'Chee race very similar to the popular 'Vulcan' of the old 'Star Trek' TV shows, who went on to become one of the closest allies that Humans found in the Galactic Arm. At first contact, some witt just had to do the 'Finger Spread / Live Long & Prosper' greeting, the real shock being that this was the 'Universal Peacefull Greeting of Sentinent Beings'. When asked how we had known this, the relpy was; "Just a Lucky Guess".

| 2044 | 1813 Add An Event | After 25 years, the 'Federation' has spread over 1500 light years in diameter and encompasses a significant portion of the Galactic Arm.
There are 85 member planets that are composed of 5 different races:
Human / L'Chee / Aslong / Marlath / Pel'tang. It's at this time that
noted L'Chee professor H'Lat publishes his history of the 'Human' Colonial Period. In this work he notes that one of the main reasons for the great success of this expansion, was the offer by the then World leaders, of a 'Home world' to the 'Wahabi' sect of Islam. Following the construction of the massive "Colony Globe', over 15,000,000 Islamics took this offer to set up a New Caliphate World.
Sadly, after only 5 years in their new world, the wahabi had managed to completely wipe themselves out through incessant warfare. This was viewed by the remaining Galactic population as a terrible waste and a new colony was established with a mixed 60% Human/ 40% L'Chee makeup. In his work Professor H'Lat notes that it was the physiological makeup of the colonists that led to their demise. After his publication, formal religion among the human population is almost eradicated within 3 years. In place of this is a simple understanding that 'Life' in all it's forms is precious and to be protected. The only semi-formal tenet of this new mindset seems to stem from the Judeo-Christen era, "Do Unto Others, As You Would Have Them Do Unto You". The other races breathe a sigh of relief as their 'cousins' begin to think like 'Adults' for the first time in their history.
By Jan 5 2045, the first 'TransWarp' drives are coming online (speed estimated at a factor of 100 to the old 'Warp' engines.) A survey trip is planed to the Horse Head Nebula next year.
