| 2051 | 1486 Add An Event | 40 years after the start of the war between the EU and her Arab allies, and Israel/USA, Judah and Samaria are fully settled.
After the signing of the Treaty of Copenhagen, the Arab countries was tossed into revolution. Firstly, militant islamists seemed to be strong enough to usurp power in all countries - succeeding in overthrowing the regimes in Saudi-Arabia, Jordan, and Syria, and for a while it seemed like war was going to break out again. But counterrevolutions by democracy-activists, supported by the United States, Israel, and the EU, suceeded in overthrowing the islamic regimes, and enacted a state of Martial Law, which lasted for over 3 years. Reeducation-programs were initiated, and, as more and more people in the 3 countries got more wealthy, it was estimated that by 2020, the support for militant islamists had dropped to 20% of the population, compared to 75 during the war against Israel, and 50 in the following years. By 2030, the support was 10%, and now it is almost non-existant.
Israel is now the economic superpower of the region, with a population of 25 million people. The main economic centres of the Middle East are Jerusalem and Tel-Aviv. The colonization of Judah Samaria and the Sinai Desert has succeeded to an extend where the former war- and poverty stricken regions are now no longer distinguishable from the rest of Israel. There are now talks between the Israeli, Syrian, Jordanian, and Egyptian governments about creating a monorail-line from Damascus over Amman, Jerusalem and Tel-Aviv to Cairo. The former archenemies are now coming together, to an extend where Chief Azhkenazi Rabbi Eliezer ben-Shimon in an editorial in the Jerusalem Post proclaims:
"The day is near where the prophecy of Isaiah will be fulfilled! The prophet said: "In that day shall there be a highway out of Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian shall come into Egypt, and the Egyptian into Assyria, and the Egyptians shall serve with the Assyrians.
In that day shall Israel be the third with Egypt and with Assyria, a blessing in the midst of the land:
Whom the LORD of hosts shall bless, saying, Blessed Egypt my people, and Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel mine inheritance." Our fathers and their fathers who fought the horrible war of 40 years ago would never in their wildest imagination have imagined that THIS would happen. We are truly witnesses to great things!"
